EXTRA CLAMP COLLARS: For vehicles with multiple in-line converters (e.g., Toyota Tundra, Ford e-350 super duty, etc.) we recommend two clamp collars per converter to enable movement of the cables where the clamps are fixed. We include two pieces in each Catstrap kit. If your vehicle has two converters that will be protected with a single strap, you will need two extra clamp collars in addition to the two included in the kit.
The clamp collars are installed between the strap and the exhaust clamp on both immediate sides of the converter. Two pieces are needed for each converter. These collars enable the hidden aircraft cables to oscillate back and forth with the cutting blade, massively increasing the cutting difficulty.
