Memory/Alzheimer's Care Facilities

Memory/Alzheimers Care Facilities are also referred to as Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE) for age 60+. These settings can be a stand-alone facility or a designated section of a larger RCFE specially designed for memory care services. Most care settings will have delayed egress doors with coded entrance/exit to prevent wandering. Programming and staffing in Memory and Alzheimers Care Facilities are developed to care for those with memory impairment. The size of a memory care facility can range from 20 65 residents.
